Brett Aronson
Tennis is a thinking game. This site is where 27 years of on-court coaching gets written down.
The short version
Brett Aronson has coached tennis for 27 years — juniors to college players, league regulars to private-club members. ThinkTennis, L.L.C. (founded as Total Tennis Training) has served Cleveland-area clubs since 2003.
Before the teaching career: college tennis at Denison (NCAA D-III) and Cleveland State (NCAA D-I), where he played #2 singles. Most recently, Assistant Director of Tennis at Chagrin Valley Athletic Club, 2021–2024.
ThinkTennis exists because most tennis content is either highlight worship or six-tip listicles. The interesting part of the game — the patterns, the percentages, the decisions — mostly goes unexplained. This site is the lab notebook: what actually wins matches below the tour, written plainly and sourced per article.
What this site believes
the reel, unrolledPoints are constructions, not coin flips. Learn the pattern and the panic goes away.
Every shot choice has math attached. You don't have to feel lucky — you have to know the number.
Claims get sourced or cut. When the tour does something, we pull the film instead of repeating the myth.
